The wine taster of Robert Parker “blesses” projects of young winemakers

“The young winemakers and viticulturists of Castile and Leon do not fail to surprise us. The winemaker Martina Prieto Pariente is working with her mother Victoria Pariente in Rueda, but she has at the same time decided to launch a new project with her brother Ignacio – a new wine project that recently harvested some good scores from the American wine reviewer Robert Parker: El Origen de Prieto Pariente 2013 achieves 92+ points, Prieto Pariente 2013 another 92 points, and Viognier de Prieto Pariente 2014, another 90 points.

These are wines that are being made in a rented wine cellar in La Seca with grapes from old vines located in Mucientes, Pedrosa del Rey and Valbuena de Duero, and that are being vinified separately before making a blend. The wines are commercialised as Wines from Castile and León (Vinos de la Tierra de Castilla y León). We will have to keep track of these young people.”
